Privacy policy
This policy covers the gussy app for iPhone and iPad and this website. It says what we keep about you, why, where it is kept and how you can have it deleted. If anything is unclear, write to support@gussy.app.
The short version
- Your photo library is scanned on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded; only the pieces the scan cuts out are saved to your account.
- The photo for the color analysis never leaves your phone; only the result is saved.
- The model photos you add for try-ons are kept in your account. When you start a try-on, that photo and the pieces you chose are sent to our AI provider to make the image.
- No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app, and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time.

The data controller is the developer of gussy. For anything about your data, write to support@gussy.app.
What we keep and why

All of it except how the app is used is tied to your account, and all of it is used only to run gussy for you and make it better.
Answers that say more about you
Whether you dress modestly can say something about your beliefs, and the color values describe your skin tone. We use them only for your own outfit and color suggestions and never for anything else.
What stays on your phone
- Your photo library. The scan looks through it on your phone and cuts the clothes out there; your photos are never uploaded or changed.
- The photo for the color analysis. It is read on your phone; only the result is saved to your account.
- What the app learns about your taste, your notification settings and the weather cache.
Try-on and AI
When you start a try-on, your model photo and the pieces you chose (or the look picture) are sent securely to our AI image provider, which makes the image. The finished image is saved to your account. The provider keeps the request for up to 30 days and the finished image for a limited time, only to run its service.
Services that help us run gussy
A few providers process data on our behalf, only for the purposes above and under contracts that bind them to it. Apple and Google are named because you use them directly; on request, we tell you which companies the others are.

Why we are allowed to use it
- To provide the service you signed up for: your account, closet, looks, plans, try-ons and purchases.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping gussy working, safe and fairly used: diagnostics, seeing how the app is used so we can make it better, and making sure one-time offers are claimed only once.
- Your permission: location, which you can turn off in iOS Settings at any time, and the style card answers you choose to give.
- Legal duties: keeping records of purchases.
Data outside your country
Your account data is stored in the European Union. Our subscription, AI image and error logging providers work from the United States, and other providers may process data outside your country, so some data is transferred there, under the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for Türkiye, the standard contracts of KVKK Article 9.
How long we keep it
- Your account and closet: until you delete your account. A piece, look or model photo you delete is removed from our storage about 30 days later.
- After you delete your account: your closet, pictures and account are erased after 30 days. If you sign in within those 30 days, your account comes back.
- After that we keep only what we need for accounting and to prevent abuse: the record of purchases and credits, and a code made from your sign-in details that cannot be turned back into them, so a one-time offer cannot be claimed again. None of these hold your photos or closet.
- Diagnostics and how the app is used: 90 days; daily totals with no code, up to 25 months; error logs for a limited time.
Deleting your gussy account does not cancel an App Store subscription or remove gussy from Sign in with Apple; the support page shows how to do both.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw a permission you gave. Delete your account in the app under Profile > Settings > Security > Delete my account; for anything else, write to support@gussy.app. We answer within 30 days.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the European Union, the one in your country; in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
Children
gussy is meant for people aged 16 and over. If you think a child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
This website
This website sets no cookies. We count visits and measure page speed with our host's own analytics, which use no cookies and do not follow you to other sites. The host keeps short-lived server logs for security.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects how your data is used, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
